Penimar is a shipyard based in Peniche, founded in 1984.
Our purpose
Turning metal into something of value for the client, built to their requirements. We want to be a national reference: a solid, up to date company, always open to new projects.
The shipyard
Our facilities bring together two buildings — a workshop, with warehouse and offices, and another dedicated to shipbuilding — equipped for vessels up to 24 metres. Our services cover:
- Repair — every type of repair, on board or in our workshop.
- Shipbuilding — vessels in steel or aluminium, built to the client’s requirements.
- Machinery — building and repairing stainless-steel equipment for the fishing and aquaculture industry.
- Hydraulics — repair of engines, jacks, hoses and hydraulic circuits.
- Mechanics — sales and support for the widest range of marine engine brands.
Beyond vessels, we design and manufacture in-house naval and deck equipment tailored to each operation — net haulers, steel cable reels, winches, windlasses, sheaves and other mechanisms — designed and built from scratch at our shipyard. We specialise in delivering turnkey work.
We work throughout mainland Portugal, in Madeira, in the Azores, and also in Angola.
